Las Vegas

Last Summer we took a fun trip to Las Vegas. Spencer had a seminar down there, so he let me and the kids tag along. We had a fun time looking at the pirate ships, but we didn't stick around for the show cause its not very kid-friendly anymore.

We were a little crazy to go to Vegas in July when its so hot, but the kids were really tough walking around in the heat. We visited the old Mormon Fort, it was especially hot there. We felt really bad for those poor settlers without air conditioning.

Talmage and Leia are so cute. Bellagio always has new and beautiful things in their gardens.

I think our favorite activity on the trip was simply playing in the pools of our hotel. We stayed at the Rio and they had three nice pools that we enjoyed. Peter and Ammon are sunscreened and ready to swim.

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

When I was young my mom would make St. Patrick's Day a big event. We would eat all sorts of green food all day. I remember having so much fun with it. So I decided to have some green fun with our family this year.

Ammon was so happy to have green eggs and ham--that is one of his favorite books--even though it ended up being green eggs and sausage. Tonight for dinner we might get to have green stroganoff with spinach and broccoli. Yum!

Krazy Kids!

I have been somewhat intimidated in writing this second blog posting. I was trying to think of something profound or inspiring, but nothing has come to me. So I guess I will write about what I do everyday. I take care of my kids.

These are my four gorgeous babies. They are so much fun! Talmage is such a kind older brother. He is always willing to share and help his younger siblings. Leia is our emotional little sweetheart. She loves singing all the time--even when it drives big brother crazy. Ammon is such an energetic and fun little guy. He is our only blond child and he is always ready to wrestle anyone. Peter is a pleasant and happy baby. He makes everyone smile with his beautiful eyes and funny faces.

We have a noisy, but happy, house. My mom tells me that our kids' voices are so strong so they will all be great singers someday. For now, we try to stay away from quiet restaurants and struggle to remain in the chapel for all of sacrament meeting. But we're grateful for all four of these amazing kids. We feel very blessed to have them.

We are officially going blog wild! Spencer always made fun of you bloggers, but we are finally joining the crowd and creating our own blog. I have never been very computer savvy, but I am slowly learning more and am ready to take the big step into the blog world. Here we are!!!
